The Dragon articles are the limit of my exposure to Chainmail's setting too. I also have no plans to ever have my campaign drift that far west. Still, it makes for some neat rumor/legend type stuff to sprinkle into the campaign, and I wanted to give a nod to the work Chris Pramas (with help from Erik Mona, as I understand it) has put into the game.
