That could be part of the reasoning behind why the Amulet of Time wasn't published, too: these are b-sides, after all ;->
IIRC, the two gods are described as cooperative in the LGG and that inspired the linking for the artifact creation. I may be wrong, however, and have simply dreamed it up on my own, too. Feel free to alter the details as you see fit in your own games, of course :-)
