To be fair, some people didn't use 'Hawk as their world of choice until FtA, and others didn't join our little dysfunctional community until GH98 or even (gasp!) the era of Living Greyhawk. So they may find others to have been better at catching their attention than EGG was.
And this is NOT a statement of my feelings. I'll keep those to myself. Just what I have heard from others.
