I have always enjoyed Fireseek based on the name only and perhaps the meaning within the name that correlates with the particular time of the year in which the month falls, heh.

Some random events that happened that occured in the month of Fireseek... (Greychronodex)

1. Elven ruler in Shelleton disgraced.

2. Lynward assumes throne of Nyrond after his father, Archibold III, abdicates. Lynward thwarts his brother Sewarndt’s attempt to gain throne.

3. Secret meeting between surviving Oligarchs of Ahlissa and Prince Xavener in Kalstrand.

I did not vote in this poll. I don't use the different names for Greyhawk months as presented in the setting's literature. I just use our months (Januaty, February, etc.). I don't know anyone who has memorized the names of Greyhawk months. So, saying "Patchwall 15," does not resonate with anyone. Repsonses are usually, "What? What is Patchwall? What is that in normal months?" So, I just use "normal" months.

I like using the GH months, since they help to lend more verisimitude to the setting, and they also don't really correspond to Gregorian months, since Greyhawk in general has a much milder climate than the real world---Patchwall isn't really October, for example, since it's probably still warmer than October would be in general.

In the past, I always used the campaign time tracking handouts from an issue of Dragon, and filled in the name of the month as necessary; now I just use Clay Luther's wonderful GH calendar and check off the time from there.

In the games that I played with MTG, we tracked time on Clay's calendar, and also used it as an events log, which helped to keep track of what we'd done in the game to date. Clay's calendar is in the downloads section.

Oh, and I forgot to add that as a result of this poll, for the first time I read Sunsebb as "suns-ebb" instead of "sun-sebb" ;)

What about 'Fest weeks!? Maybe I don't like the months, but that Growfest, hmm hmm... now that is good stuff. ;)
